Unfortunately ESPN still has useful information on their site that requires me to visit it. What irritates me is that the site is so slow anymore because they have made their pages bloated with crap crap & more crap. Does anyone who visits there often know of anything I can turn off in IE to speed up the pages?

Thanks in advance.

I've found that visiting www.cnnsi.com seems to speed up the load times considerably.

You might also try www.cbssportsline.com

I don't even read Bill Simmons anymore; I would start reading his columns if he worked for somebody else.

I'll second Jeeber's suggestion of Firefox + AdBlock + NoScript... its the only way to make ESPN bearable anymore. Still won't help with all the content being insider only... for that I switched to foxsports.com (footballoutsiders going there pushed me over the edge).

I never have any real speed problems with ESPN.com. I'm an "Insider", so the info there is pretty good.

That said, I will agree with the www.sportsline.com (http://www.sportsline.com/) reccomendations. It's a great site. Besides, my brother is an on-line sales guy for sportsline (and all of CBS's websites). So, visit often! Even click on an ad or two if you're so inclined...
