my first thought as a giants fan is they got a rought start. After playing the Colts in the opener they go to Philly then to Seattle before the bye. Then they play the Redskins after the bye.

NE goes from brutal schedule to pretty darn easy.

I SOOOO can't wait for week 6.

Week 3 bye sucks, though.

You wanna see Chicago vs Arizona on MNF? You're weird, man. :)

The Steelers schedule is bizarre. All but one of their division games are late in the season. They start on a Thursday, don't play until again until the following Monday night, then they have a big matchup against the Bengals on the following Sunday, and then a bye. They also have a pretty rough schedule in the first half.

How did Green Bay get two MNF games?

More like it'll be time for us to shut those freakin' Texans fans up. They've been talking smack for four years now, I can't wait to beat their asses...

At a glance, the 49ers schedule seems pretty weak...though comparing it to the strength of our squad I can confidently say that we'll be in the running for the top pick again :(

Wait a second, did they eliminate a bye week? First I've heard of this.

Bengals finish with:

@ Indy
@ Denver
v. Pittsburgh

Couldn't we spread that out a tad?

No. Bye week's still there.

Based on a 30 second perusal of the Lions schedule, at this moment, I predict they will go 4-12. :(

OUCH.

They better just clinch the week before the Indy game, 'cause that's brutal.

unless one of their opponents has already clinched, then the games could be easy...

So the question is what gives in week 10, the easily movable force, or the easily stoppable object?

woo that Seahawks sched is looking mighty easy. We get to play the Bears too, which i think is the first time ive seen my 2 favorite teams face off.

I counted that game as one of the Lions 4 wins, but only because the game is in Detroit. It they were playing in San Francisco there is little chance the Lions would win. The Lions are a little like Michigan in that way. They play absolutely dreafully (more so than usual even) on the West Coast.

Obviously apparent that the league still loves the Packers. I expected no more than one Monday night game.

I like what the league is doing with the Sunday night games toward the end of the season too...with waiting until they know what games actually MERIT a primetime performance.

No, they love Brett Favre and are expecting huge ratings from him returning this season for his farewell tour...

Yes, but not in week ten, and there are now weeks where six teams are off.

Wait, so you're saying the first thing you did was look at week ten to see who had a bye then? :p

Has the return of a kicker ever have been the main media story?

Houston fans have always been extremly jealous of the Cowboys. The Cowboys are "Americas Team" and been in tons of Superbowls, and the Houston teams have always been the Boys "Bunk B***hs"

So the Colts have a former Patriots kicker, and with the Patriots signing Martin Grammatica, the Patriots now have a former Colts kicker. Albeit he was only on the team for about a month.

I noticed that a lot of the late season games ( Week 10+ ) have the Sunday night NBC game listed as TBD - to be decided. I can imagine that this would affect some people and their travel plans if they are flying/driving in for a game and are working off a 1 or 4 o'clock start. I wonder how late in the year or season that these get determined.

I remember when I was in the US in 1996 and a NE game I was going to was moved up from a 4pm kickoff to 1pm. I'd only arrived recently and wasn't aware of the change and I only found out by accident. Barely made it in just after the game started.
