View Full Version : Isolation

I see things in ways that others can not understand. At best, most can only hope for a partial understanding of me and who I am. There may be a half-handful who are capable of approaching a full epiphany, but the connexion is only a transitory one, soon to dissapear. Furthermore, their snapshot of me, however complete, is only precisely accurate in the timeframe they knew me. Beyond that, chance and design by decision both intercede to alter me into the realm of partial recognition.

Are these the words of a madman? Or are they the forerunner inklings of genius? To be honest, I begin to think the only difference between the two is degrees of success.... and I fear the asylum is more likely my end than those exalted heights of mortal worship, the only type of immortality we can be certain of.

If I do not share my unique observations and perceptions with the rest of the world, did they really exist? Or are they emphemeral, destined to die with me? After all, history only writes what it publically knows.

I couldn't handle bright light earlier. I can to some degree now. That's good. Though I still prefer the soothing envelopment of darkness.

It's so hard to find good LSD these days.

These may well be the forerunner inklings of genius.

Or not.

I'm not one to call one out, but I'm sick of grandstanding.

Could be worse. He could be making a mockery out of what used to be a fun and innocent drunk person thread.

So, you're either:

A.) Trying to convince yourself that you're the smartest man in the room, but keeping the insanity backdoor open, just in case nobody else understands your special brand of genius.

or

B.) Quoting something you just read and found particularly intelligent sounding, and are sharing it with the rest of us, in hopes that either nobody will get the reference, or those who do will praise you for having such lofty intellectual taste.

I didn't think there were too many geniuses with 1700+ posts hanging around a football text-sim meassage board.

Maybe this place is getting to him.

Or I could be wrong and need to start drinking again.

This post is disproved by this post:

Or C). I was drunk off my ass. :p

Ah... should have guessed. I'm a philosophical drunk, too.

Not me. I get even more stupid when I've been drinking.

Ah, no better recipe to get philosophical than to be drunk and alone.

Don't worry--you're already sure to be immortalized in the archives of FOFC as the guy that posted all that hilariously self-absorbed, emotionally retarded shit.

Seriously, though, you shouldn't base so much of your self-worth on your deep-thinking and writing ability. Especially when there is such convincing evidence that you suck.
