I purchased Total Extreme Wrestling 2005 back on 10/06/2005. I may be mistaken, but I think that was release day. Played the heck out of it.

Fast forward to today. I unlicensed the game from my old computer, and installed it on my new computer. I attempted to license the game on my new computer, only to receive this error:

"Unable to get or install a license. Retrieval of license failed with error code = 10. The order ID is not valid because the transaction was not authorized."

Nice. So I contact eLicense "support" with my order ID #. Their response is the following:

"This is not a valid transaction in our database. The day that you placed this order the order was not authorized through our credit card processor, therefore, you were not charged for this order. We apologize for the inconvenience. You need to purchase the game and obtain an authorized order ID number."

Now, I know damn well that I was charged for this game. So I go to my bank's website to look at my transaction history, only to find that I can not access any of the transaction data from before January 2006. That's a bummer, but a call to my bank moves the situation forward, and I have a copy of my statement from October being mailed to me. Thank goodness!

So, I just thought I'd post my latest eLicense experience since so many people on this board have dealt with them. And I guess this is also a warning to others who bought TEW 2005 on October 6th, 2005. If you try to relicense it, you just might be called a pirate, lol.

Have you mentioned this over at Grey Dog? They're usually very good about helping with this sort of thing.

Why post here for a TEW/elicense issue?
Post at GreyDog and I know they'll be happy to help. :)

Why? Because eLicense has been a topic around here for a long time. Obviously, I will be in direct contact with Greydog on this issue. This was to let everyone here know that it's 'same crap, different day' with eLicense.
