...about leaders of certain nations that they have to say things like this:

Our answer to those who are angry about Iran achieving the full nuclear fuel cycle is just one phrase. We say: Be angry at us and die of this anger"
Is that the Iranian equivalent of saying "East shit and die"?

I can't help but think of Klinger and his curses on M*A*S*H. "May you be cursed with the fleas of a thousand smelly camels."

Was the original quote spoken in English? Either way, I think something is being lost in translation...

Perhaps so. It was quoted on CNN.com that way.

The Guardian (http://www.guardian.co.uk/iran/story/0,,1753838,00.html) is reporting it the same way.

Mr Ahmadinejad refused a request to meet Mr ElBaradei, saying: "We will not hold talks with anyone about the Iranian nation's right [to enrichment]." He added: "Our situation has changed completely. We are a nuclear country and speak to others from [that] position." The Islamic Republic news agency said he was unconcerned about anger from the west.

"We say 'be angry and die of this anger'," he said.

"Do you think you are dealing with a 4-year-old child to whom you can give some walnuts and chocolates and get gold from him?" Ahmadinejad added, according to The Associated Press.
Would boy-o like a chocolate-covered cruise missile?

I think he meant to say, "Our Words are backed by Nuclear Weapons."

:) That's a pretty good analogy.
