View Full Version : Game: Mashups #1
SirFozzie
04-22-2006, 03:00 PM
I take two names with something in common and take the first name from one, and the last name from the other, and you tell me what they have in common (try to be as specific as possible). For example: Barry Ruth would be a mashup of Barry Bonds and Babe Ruth, and the category would be: "Batters with more then 700 HR".

Pumpy Tudors
04-22-2006, 04:06 PM
Jeez, calling Carney Lansford a Red Sox 3B is stretching it a little bit, huh? Two years in Boston followed by ten in Oakland, but I'm just nitpicking. :)

I'll give it to you, since it's really tough
It was Nikola Tesla/THOMAS Watson (assistant to Alexander Graham Bell, and the target of the first sentence by telephone "Mr Watson, come here, I need you"
The category was "Inventors born in the 19th century"

The problem is whith last names that are too well known for one thing - a couple are easy pegs. Of course, you *do* still have to find the link (which I didn't do with Bishop previously). Not sure how you avoid that though without making it too tough. Carter for instance could be a number of things, conceivably (though in that case I have a definite guess).

Also: Robb James can also be Rob James (the first name can be spelled both ways)
cuervo72
04-24-2006, 01:32 PM
I'd definitely have one that makes sense for 'Rob' for that one...of course, no guarantee it's what you'd be looking for (besides, I don't have a guess!).
Barkeep49
04-24-2006, 04:32 PM
