We now have the second edition of Cool or Poser. With my lousy cable connection at the moment these may be sparingly hit or miss for a while.
With this edition I bring you Samuel L Jackson.
So far our results for cool are:
Tom Cruise 11.76%

Cool or poser...interesting poll. Are we going by his movie roles or his personality off screen? I dont even totally know what that is, except for the few interviews Ive seen.

Oh, unsure of the spelling, my searches found both Samual and Samuel on sites that seemed like they would be legit enough to know.

Going by what you think the actual person is, not just roles but how you believe them to actually be.

Never seen him in an interview - but going by his 'screen' persona he's got to be cool ;)

I met him while I was catering some "well to do" party in L.A. and I didnt know anything about him but apparently he doesnt drink and eventhough everyone else was drinking adult beverages...some drink where they grind up some greens in the drink was popular back then. anyways, I respect the fact that he didnt have a sip all night and was super chill.
Cool from me.

Got to think a guy is cool with lines like:
"Yeah, Zeus. You know, Mount Olympus, father of Apollo, don't f*** with me or I'll shove a lightning bolt up your ass, Zeus! You got a problem with that?"

He's definitely in that "anything for a cheque" phase of his career, but after Pulp Fiction he's permanently cool.

Probably a Mojito. It's ground up mint leaves.

Snakes on a Plane. Without his intervention, that title never would have stood. Definitely cool.

Sam Jackson is so cool, all future polls should be in the following format:
"(Actor's name) - Sam Jackson or Poser?"

I agree with this, except the part where you spelled it "cheque"

Maybe he was thinking of the beginning of Pulp Fiction where Jules is talking about the French?
Cool on screen, Poser off.

With a name like Maple Leafs good chance he is canadian and there are lots of folks that speak french. So I've heard.
I love these Sam Jackson quotes from "Long Kiss Goodnight" (he's Mitch):
Mitch Henessey (http://imdb.com/name/nm0000168/): I'm always frank and earnest with women. Uh, in New York I'm Frank, and Chicago I'm Ernest.
<hr width="30%"> Charlie (http://imdb.com/name/nm0000133/): Easy, sport. Got myself out of Beirut once, I think I can get out of New Jersey.
Mitch Henessey (http://imdb.com/name/nm0000168/): Yeah, well don't be so sure. Others have tried and failed. The entire population, in fact.

I had to vote Poser as I have just heard to many off screen stories about this Cry-Baby.
