It has come to my attention that he may be a Native American with this being his Americanized name.
In which case it's possible he named himself Michael Michaels. Stay tuned.

Has anyone heard Reggie's comments on Sportscenter today? You'd think that he'd have been prepped for the questions he would face, but he sounded terrible answering the questions. His answers ammounted to "We aren't going to reveal any details right now," but he looked very uncomfortable and almost as if he were hiding something.

Hmmm... anyone care to take a stab at his middle name?

This is going to get interesting for USC and Bush. Woodson took agent money before and during his senior year and didn't lose his Heisman. It will be interesting if the same happens here.

but what were the "damages" done to Michigan by the NCAA?
that is what the USC fans are worried about on their message boards.

Nothing at all. From what I've seen this doesn't sound like a booster situation. If the NCAA goes snooping, though, there's no telling what they might find.

Do you have a link for this? I'd like to be able to put an end to the "Give Vince the Heisman" push on another board.

I'll have to do some looking. If memory serves, Woodson took a free trip and other gifts before and during his senior season. I'll see what I can dig up.

Bush didnt sound particularly good on either PTI or the pre draft special on ESPN.
ESPN made it sound like USC wasnt really in any real danger.

Or maybe his parents were just following tradition by naming something seen when the child is born, and looked out in the waiting room and saw Michael Jackson and Al Michaels sitting out there.

Michael Michaels is suing for unpaid rent.
http://www.signonsandiego.com/sports/nfl/20060428-9999-7s29bush.html
Reggie Bush's parents failed to pay $54,000 in rent for the year they lived in a house owned by an investor in a sports marketing agency that sought to represent Bush, the owner of the house said late last night in an interview at The San Diego Union-Tribune.
Michael Michaels, who has been silent since questions surfaced about the Bush family's living arrangements at the Spring Valley house he owns, said the stepfather and mother of the Heisman Trophy-winning running back initially agreed to pay $4,500 per month in rent when they moved in last spring. He said when they failed to pay the first few months' rent, they said they would pay when Bush turned pro.

Does anyone know how this guy comes up with the 3.2 million dollar figure?
$4,500 per month for under 1 year does not even come close to $3.2 million. It is a $700,000 home, so even if the Bush's totally destroyed it it would not come close to the $3.2 figure. And, I am also not sure a Landlord can sue for punitive damages

That's the first thing I read and had to respond. I wanted to name our son Mark Marks, but Antmeister flat out said no. My uncle's name is Enrique Enriquez.
I'll catch up on the rest of the posts during my ahem... break at work.

In a similar circumstance, a federal indictment of a busted sports agency uncovered that Heisman trophy winner Charles Woodson accepted tens of thousands of dollars in cash and gifts from an agent during Michigan's 1997 co-national championship season. But the NCAA never even bothered to investigate the situation, let alone punish the Wolverines.

Anthony wanted to name our kid Skid... I said hell no. I guess compared to Skid Marks, Makers Marks isn't so bad.
I mean, why the hell name your band Mister Mister?!? I mean, you've got some musical talent I guess, surely there are better names out there, why Mister Mister?!?! Sheesh.
dola, and Woodson only took that money because he knew it would impress his future boss Al "Satan" Davis. He had all that shit well planned out.
Prolly Reggie is hoping to slide a few spots so da Raidahs can put him on their chain gang too.

My friends from China, Feng and Mei Ling Li, were expecting their first child. They knew it was going to be a boy, so they were discussing names. My suggestion was they name the kid 'Real', so his name would sound like 'Real-Li'. For a middle name, I suggested 'Ugh', so the full name would be 'Real-Ugh-Li'.
I didn't realise until that moment that Feng's wife was proficient is several forms of martial arts.

NCAA | R. Bush could cost USC national championship
Fri, 28 Apr 2006 19:24:03 -0700
Dan Wetzel, of Yahoo Sports, reports USC RB <A href="http://www.kffl.com/player/13289/nfl">Reggie Bush could cost Southern California their 2004 Bowl Championship Series national championship due to assertions made by Michael Michaels. BCS officials said if Bush is ruled ineligible by either the Pacific 10 Conference or the NCAA (http://www.kffl.com/team/78/nfl) for just one game during the 2004 season, the BCS would discuss amending their rules to allow it to force USC to vacate the national championship. BCS administrator Bill Hancock said, "This is the type of thing the BCS might have to look into if other governing bodies, the conference and the NCAA (http://www.kffl.com/team/78/nfl), take action." Michaels' claims moves Bush's timeline of ineligibility back to USC's 2004 season, where the school went undefeated and won the national championship. Michaels promised he would back up his claims with corroborating evidence.
