FOFC Cup Consolation Round Poll

I see my vote splits it evenly, 1 vote apiece.

My other vote needs elaboration. So, order the teams by the following criteria in order:

1. Position reached in FOFC Cup
2. Level of League
3. Goals scored in League play so far this season

Ties after that could be broken by goals scored in the Cup, Member number, or something else. But that should stratify the teams well.

I want a seeding that isn't completely random (or, to a lesser extent, based on member number). I also don't want to punish a team for being outclassed in the Cup. (i.e. completely based on goals scored over two games against the same competition) I think that my seeding method reflects the strength of the team, first rewarding advancing teams with higher seeds, and then ordering teams by the way they played when they counted.

But then again, I'm just a crackpot who doesn't live by his own signature. What do I know?

I had a vote for my most goals, but I would like to change that, but O can't change it so, here's my plan:

1. Position Reached in FOFC Cup
2. Goals scored in FOFC Cup
3. Points in League Play
4. Goals in League Play

After that, you could just go by member numbers, but by then, I can almost guarantee you that there would be no ties.

Would any kind of Tournament Format really be right if it didn't reward the teams with the better performances with the Higher Seeds?

That should be first and foremost the number one deciding factor, at least in my humbled opinion..
