If any of you are having that age old problem of the AC adapter overheating, melting the solders, and then forcing you to do the old fumble with the plug in to find the G-spot wherein it will power. I have a solution for you, so cheap that no one mentions cuz they want you to have to repair your laptop for hundreds. Anyways, this adapter here has a plug in spot to it so it will charge your laptop and its like 40 bucks (you can find it for a lot less at other sites)...bulky but has given new life to my laptop:

This thing works dreamily and I dont have to prop my plug on books or postit notes anymore :)

Ooooooh... so, wait, how does that work? It goes between the expansion port and the power cable?

i dont think its an expansion port, more like the multimedia port that has the little pic of a computer on it with 2 arrows.

OK so my power connection just went bad on my HP zd7140. Can you help me find this little do-dad? The link above no longer works. And how can I verify it will work with mine. Also price? Help!
