It always seemed to me that this was a pretty good cause, I've never had long enough hair to really give a foot, though. I'll make sure to keep it in mind when my daughters' hair length gets out of control.

My friend's brother grew his hair real long and then donated it when he got it cut. Not sure if it's the same everywhere, but he had to go to a special place and they had to cut it a certain way. Needless to say, when they cut the ponytail, they completely f'ed up the rest of his hair. Talk about a good deed coming back to bite you in the ass. He ended up having to buzz his head and looked like an idiot. :)
