Just watched the pre-E3 shows by Sony and Nintendo and the Nintendo Wii (formerly known as Revolution) looks like a lot of fun while the Playstation 3 looks to be more of the same-old-same-old with just better graphics.
It is obviously a little early to tell if the new controller thing will have lasting appeal (or simply become a PITA), but it love that they are doing things differently than MS and Sony. It will also play all your GameCube games and use the GC controllers.
The name change was also a bit of genius. Like just about everyone else I couldn't understand at first why they would make the change (Revolution was a cool name), but the more you hear them talking about the system (pronounced "we") the more you can see the brilliance.
Wii can do this and Wii can do that.
Other console makers are going to have to be careful now when they use "we" because it will sound like a p1mp for Nintendo. Might be the first system I ever pre-order.
