Our national IQ just dropped.

A Canadian man "scalped" his girlfriend after he tried to use a power drill to style her hair while she was sleeping.

But the judge saw it another way and the man, Shee Theng, was given a nine-month conditional sentence to be served in the community for his assault with a weapon. The judge said the assault was a "breach of trust", but since it was his first criminal conviction she was going to give him another chance.

The woman's lawyer said the attack resulted in the woman bleeding and losing clumps of hair. "When one is sleeping, they shouldn't have to worry about being attacked with a power drill", said Lim. "This man needs help."

The man said he was living with the girlfriend, Janine Rose, at the time and after returning from a bar, Rose went to sleep. Theng then attached either a Barbie doll brush to a power drill and used it to try to style Rose's hair because he had seen something similar on TV.

He says the attachment caught in Rose's hair and pulled out a clump, leaving her bleeding, screaming and terrified while he took off. Surprisingly, Theng said he knew it was a dangerous idea because he had scalped himself earlier the same way.

Actually, I think the only way it drops is if he manages to breed.

That really is the best part. Wow.

I'm hiding all brushes, combs, and power tools from radii just in case he reads this thread...

Were there any instructions on attaching the brush to the power drill because I'm stuck on that part.

Thanks.

so, now all power drills will have to have a new legal disclaimer.

I think my wife would kick my ass for just trying to style her hair while she was asleep...let alone using a power drill to do it.

This sort of thing happens in Mississippi all the time. Y'all Canadians got plenty of catchin' up to do.

This post gives me the opporutnity to share one of my favorite "canadian" stories:

This is the transcript of the ACTUAL radio conversation of a US naval ship with Canadian authorities off the coast of Newfoundland.

Canadians: Please divert your course 15 degrees the South to avoid a collision.

Americans: Recommend you divert your course 15 degrees the North to avoid a collision.

Canadians: Negative. You will have to divert your course 15 degrees to the South to avoid a collision.

Americans: This is the Captain of a US Navy ship. I say again, divert YOUR course.

Canadians: No. I say again, you divert YOUR course.

Americans: THIS IS THE AIRCRAFT CARRIER USS LINCOLN, THE SECOND LARGEST SHIP IN THE UNITED STATES ATLANTIC FLEET. WE ARE ACCOMPANIED BY THREE DESTROYERS, THREE CRUISERS AND NUMEROUS SUPPORT VESSELS. I DEMAND THAT YOU
CHANGE YOUR COURSE 15 DEGREES NORTH, I SAY AGAIN, THAT'S ONE FIVE DEGREES NORTH, OR COUNTER-MEASURES WILL BE UNDERTAKEN TO ENSURE THE SAFETY OF THIS SHIP.

Canadians: This is a lighthouse. Your call.

yes and I also just heard "the chicken didn't REALY cross the road!!!"

I wasn't making a political statement, or demeaning our military or anything like that. My entire reason for posting was Canadian+funny.

I figured you weren't but the post made it sound like you didn't have any info on origin so I offered up. :)
