May 2006.
Is this game out?? I keep seeing a release date of May 8, 9, & 10, but can not find any FULL reviews of the game, or place where I can order it. I am still seeing the game listed as Pre-Order.
RON was one of my favorite games.
Does anyone have the 411 on this game?

Thanks. I just ordered it from Gogamer for the $34.90 using their 48 hour madness sale.
Now, we will see if I get a "Back-Ordered" email or if they actually ship the game on Monday.
BTW-- Gamespot still lists the game as Pre-Order.

So....is this, as it appears from first reading the feature list, all fantasy nations and units?

It is out and I have gone through the first 8-9 campaign missions in the game of the included 50! The camapign is a lot of fun and even though I have always enjoyed the real civ games more ala Age of Empires and the original Rise of Nations I am loving this. I can see a lot fun palying multiplayer and I don't even like multiplayer. I would highly recommend this. I HEARD THAT CIRCUIT CITY has a deal starting this week for it on sale for $34.99.

Have all the bugs that was in the demo been fix?
Any major bugs you ran into yet?

Big Hude Games the developer actually probably Microsoft really f@#$ed up by releasing those terrible demos. I think they really turned a lot of people off to this game. All I can say after playing the demos and the completed game is that they share very little in common. i haven't had any problems at all so take that for what its worth.

Well I don't know if people have questions but I have logged about 4 hours of time in the last 24 hours or so with the game, strictly in campaign mode. And it's been 100% bug free for what I have noticed.
Now I had become quite good at RON, able to easily beat a computer 1v1 on the second hardest diffiuclty mode and having it be close to a coinflip (though in the computer's favor) on the hardest difficulty mode. Was I world class? No, but I did pretty well. I am pleased to say that I have had to adjust my approach to this game, despite only playing on moderate. Part of it is that each map has it's own flavor and twist and I've had to actually restart a couple times when I realized that I had made a strategic blunder.
To me the biggest problem is that you can't always zoom out far enough to adequately deal with air units. This can be a big minus on maps with an air focus to them. Others have complained of performance problems, though I have not noticed them. At the sametime, I have a pretty nice rig and while the terrain is nicer, and to a certain extent the buildings are nicer, the unit art isn't all that much of an upgrade over RON.
Until I complete the first campaing, with the Vinci masters of technology, and start to play the second campaign with the Alim, I won't really know whether they have reached a Starcraftesque balance.
If others get it, I would certainly be interested in doing multiplayer as I loved our Thrones and Patriots games.

This game is not about my career, contrary to popular belief.

Well the challenge on "Moderate" is gone and I got my first repeat mission, right before I left for work this morning, however, I think I've had about 10 unique ones and only have 2 or 3 missions (including the repeat) left. I am certainly enjoying the game so far and have found that mixed forces strategy of RON works well, and there is little combat micromangement needed which is my preference.

After 1 night with the game I am a little dissapointed. I just have the feeling that this game, like so many other sequals has been dumbed down to appeal to the masses.
Where are my citizens? Where are the builders, the farmers, the inventors, the people that really make the City come to life?
I'll try it again tionight, but this game just doesn't have that same RON feel that I was expecting. :(

I beat the campaign, played a couple games of multiplayer and have put it down and not gone back. I am not a huge multiplayer fan, though the two games I did play were fun.
