Ok, folks, I am headed to Aberdeen, Maryland for the summer on work and don't know much about the area. Can anyone give me a little insider information on the area? I work in sports so I pretty much only sleep when not working but any information helps.

Aberdeen is about 45 minutes North of Baltimore. Are you working for the Ironbirds? If not, they are the short-season A ball team of the Orioles owned by Cal Ripken. The start in June.
Otherwise, there is not much of interest in Aberdeen itself.

Lot of fast food restaurants and reasonably priced motels. After I moved back to Connecticut from North Carolina, I used to meet my old girlfriend in Aberdeen.
This past semester I moved to Bel Air, MD, which if I am correct is the neighboring community. I never spent any time in Aberdeen except at the train station to come home. All I can tell you is that the train station sucks.

They've got a great park, at least what I've seen of it from I-95. I was actually thinking about taking in a game there this summer.

Here's how you say it:
"Ice Cold Icy Ice...
Ice Cold Lemon Chill."
With a little practice, you'll be a natural.

Visit the Aberdeen Proving Grounds Ordnance Museum. Very cool collection of World War II tanks, assorted other weapons, and a German railroad gun.

Enjoy your time. I hope you get to met Cal.
Can you get me tickets :) I think the season sells out in advance.

Don't mind the sound of thunder you hear when there aren't any clouds around.

I was stationed for a few months at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds, but I don't know much about the town. The mall nearby is kinda nice.

My organization almost got BRAC'ed to Aberdeen. I was going to quit rather than move there. There is absolutely nothing to do except go to Baltimore (which is more like 20 minutes than 45), and I hate Baltimore.
