I am curious if any of you would be interested in an online writing workshop group?

One where we would critique each others work throughout the time, writing challenges and such...I am looking to strengthen some of my writing so I can finish my novel while I am home......

I would make it an online symposium, lock it down for members only...submissions through e-mail or something....

Anyone interested, let me know....

I write non-fiction articles, not fiction, sorry.

I could be very interested in something like this. I suppose some of it would depend on format and such, but it sounds like a great idea!

dola,

I have built a base site layout and design for this, I will post about it when it is completed, this will be sometime next week.

Sounds interesting. Would this cater strictly to prose, or would it include other types of writing, like poetry or scriptwriting?

I am thinking it would focus on all types of writing...

Macro - count me in. Most definitely. I've been looking for a writer's group for a few months now, and I've been having a hard time out here in the boondocks. In fact, if you need help organizing, moderating, or laying the ground rules, I'll volunteer to help make it a success.

I will more than likely take you up on this...I will be home and not doing a lot from June 2nd till June 18th, however, my next trip out, I will be by myself, and so nothing better to do then finalize the site...but I am hoping to complete it pretty quick.

I'm willing to participate, but I can't make any firm commitments because of assorted time crunches at work.

Not to barge in...but the thread title sounds like a $25,000 Pyramid category.

Ah. So it was intentional. I see....

Of course it was. I mean, look at all my other posts. I'm never gramatically incorrect. ;)

How could you even suggest otherwise? I'm deeply, deeply offended. :)

Just a brief update.

I am using Joomla for the site, and I am customizing it.

However, I am going to be setting up a forum for the group tonight.

Alright, the site is still growing, but I need input from people here.

PM me here your suggestions for FAQs, additional forum topics, and news items and such for the site.....

You can see the site and register for it here...

http://www.owsy.net (http://www.owsy.net/)

and the forum is linked off of there or you can hit the forum at

sorry it has taken so long to get it set up. I am still working on the graphics for the template.

It's never to late....

This will be an ever growing online community, my goal would be to drum writers up from all over.

I'd be interested in this as well. I'm taking creative writing during my summer quarter in school, so this fits well with that.
