One of the more ridiculous stories I've seen. I agree with Whitlock about, oh, 2 percent of the time. I actually agreed with him yesterday. What an idiotic site.

Yeah, I guess I don't get the hubbub. Did someone from the team complain? Is this really something that was so awful that the team needed to be suspended?

On a broader note, is there not a point at which we can draw a line and say "This is an acceptable level of hazing"? Seems like every year that line gets closer and closer to zero tolerance. Is that really what we want? I think most would agree that hazing can go to far - when it physically endangers the participants, when the actions are so traumatic and so completely against the will of particular participants so as to cause emotional damage, when playfullness gets out of control and becomes abuse, whether it be physcial, sexual, emotional, etc. But what is that line? Is completely banning hazing of any kind, by the broadest definitions possible really what we want - is there no benefit perceived from lower levels of hazing in the form of bonding? Can hazing ever be considered "fun" and not "abuse"?

Personally, I like seeing a few of the pics (with the girls that are on the proper side of attractive) but what I find peculiar is the absolute level of stupidity shown by today's youth. Sometimes you need to just NOT take pictures... Didn't we learn anything from Abu Grab? I'm waiting for some asshole to kill somebody and take pics with his camera phone just because he has one.

But the hazing is going too far... Whatever happened to "Thank you sir may I have another!" and blindfolding kids to make them stick their hands in a toilet and squish up a couple of bananas?
