Skydog - Do you have the same uneasy feeling about the Braves' chances this year? I can't help but feel that their run of division championships is over.
I'm just hoping Ted buys them back.

Somewhat uneasy? I'm not sure that's the way I look at it. I think my position would best be described as "not really sure WHAT to expect." It isn't diffiicult at all to fathom Hampton, Ortiz and Byrd all coming in under Leo, and each winning 15+ with sub 3.50 ERA's. We'll just have to see.
And yes, I definitely hope Turner buys the team back.

I don't buy merchandise, nor will I go to games...but I watch on TV and I'll follow via ESPN.

Detroit Tigers! That isnt sarcasm, I really am a huge fan of theirs.
Kinda on the topic, has anyone ever gone to Spring Training in FL, at any site? I went to ST in AZ a couple times and it was great. Have to get down to Lakeland sometime and see Detroit though.

When it comes to MLB, I'm like an abused woman who continues to go back to her abuser. They will strike again at some point. I will miss it. They will come back. Some will not return. I will. I can't help it.

Skydog if you are a Braves fan at least you had a team to root for, what does a Phillies fan have to root for except to escape the celler, and to hope that our best players don't leave...

To all the Braves fans. I just want to thank you for allowing Tom Glavine to destroy the Mets for the last 12 years, use the best years of his life, then let him go to the Mets where he can sign a huge contract and then begin the downward spiral of his career.
See Mo Vaugn, Jeremy Burnitz, Robbie Alomar etc...

Just as long as you don't have a Nielsen box. :)
MylesKnight

How do you get one of those Nielsen boxes anyway? I've always wondered that anytime it's been mentioned.
The XFL would've been rated one person higher!! :D

I looked up the Nielsen ratings a few weeks back, anyways...
"Nielsen Media Research cannot accept volunteers for its ratings service. To be statistically accurate it is essential that our sample be the result of random selection. Every household in the United States has an equal chance of being selected, no matter where it is located. And, the random nature of the sample ensures that people of all backgrounds and all ages can be included. If Nielsen Media Research accepted volunteers, the composition of the sample might be affected. Our clients – broadcast and cable television networks, local television stations and cable systems, program producers and advertisers – use the information we provide to help make decisions about which programs will be on the air. Our customers would not be able to rely on the information to make appropriate decisions.
Since we do pick our sample on a random basis, you do have a chance to become a Nielsen Media Research household. However, it can only happen from our contacting you. "
That is from http://www.nielsenmedia.com/index.html

GO Rangers...try to stay less than 30 games out at the All-Star break.
Pudge, even though you call one of the worst games in the Majors, I miss you already.
