Anyone else catch this one? I think it was the first episode(not even sure if it's a series or just a one time deal) last night. Not really sure what kind of message, if any, they were trying to get across with it. All I got from it was the war sucks and a lot of people are getting killed/hurt, which I can see on the news any night of the week.

it is a documentary, so I think it was a one time thing. they've been talking about this at work (we deal with brain injured veterans from the war). wish I could see it but I don't get HBO. it is going to be replayed sometime over Memorial weekend.

I don't think HBO is trying to spin this as an anti-war thing. The show is called "ER BAGHDAD". They show what happens in the ER. Generally, seriously injured people come into a war zone ER. I watched about 40 minutes of the hour long show, and found it to be one of the most harrowing, brutal things I have ever watched. I don't consider myself to be squeamish, but watching them cut through bone and muscle to amputate the arm of someone who's screaming bloody murder is a bit disconcerting to me.

War is hell.
