Title says it all, I think. I'm looking for ease of use, customer service and price. I'm not one who needs tons of new music all the time, mostly oldies. :)
Thanks

If you are going to use allofmp3.com, you might as well steal for free. No more or less legal.
iTunes seems pretty cut and dry to me, but I don't know if they have older stuff and I don't have much experience with other music services.
if you want ease of use, don't use itunes unless you have an ipod. any other mp3 player and it is a bitch.

aren't there a bunch of threads about this? can we keep this kind of talk to those threads instead of trying to threadjack and create an argument where someone is asking for advice?

Emusic.com is wonderful if you like independant music. It would probably be worth the trial for the free downloads even if not.
I'm forever off of Itunes now, I can't stand burning a cd and then turning around and ripping it just to get a cd on my mp3 player.
I've been using emusic or allofmp3.com as the rental model has no appeal to me. If the RIAA ever gets off their collective asses and comes up with a decent system without all the copy protection, I'm sure I'll use it. Until then, they can fuck off.

Rhapsody works pretty well and has for me for years. the new Napster isn't bad either. I like Rhapsody better overall, especially for old stuff.

The fact that you can listen to the entire song (or album for that matter) before-hand if you subscribe is a nice touch too.

I am a new MP3 owner and wanted to know if I download songs from ALLOFMP3.COM if it is illegal and the RIAA is coming after me? Well, potentially at least.

Google "Is allofmp3 legal?" It sounds as if it isn't really legal, but due to the loopholes there is nothing the RIAA can do. I tend to agree with both sides on this issue. On one hand the 7 cent song is obvouisly not within the intent of the law or somebody would have at least gone under a buck by now, but on the other hand they claim they are selling computer data and not music which if you look at higher quality songs they tend to cost a little more. I personally have decided not to do it, but I don't really feel sorry for the RIAA either. They have taking advantage of customers for years.
