What is the specific definition of Emo music? I just wonder if a few of the bands that I like could be classified as emo.

Basically it started with bands who come off as whining in their songs, but it's become a lifestyle.

Emo guys generally wear tight tight clothes (in many cases girls pants), wear some make up, and have those haircuts in Hursts inital post.

Bands who write songs in a whiney type pattern, like Dashboard Confessional, Finch, etc are considered emo.

I could go on but it becomes annoying
