*raises hand as well*. There are those of us who can watch a women's sport without leering.

I actually MUCH prefer Women's Tennis to Men's. I personally think it is the only sport where the Women's version is more entertaining to watch... well, from a pure sport perspective at least.

The Men's game has become too much of an ace, or serve and one volley type of game. The women's game has much more volleying and strategy involved, rather than just pure power.

Yeah - I used to be an Edberg fan back in the day (And Steffi Graf), when there was more rallying. As much as I follow men's tennis these days, its Marat Safin - his match against Federer in the Australian Open semi finals a year ago is still the greatest tennis match I've ever seen.

Then you must really love watching the French Open, because there isn't any of that. The clay slows the ball down and forces players to play their ground strokes and use some tactics instead of serve and volley constantly.

Yup. I don't watch it as much as I should, just because normally the time difference is a huge issue, but the clay court for men is fun for me.

I watch tennis as well. I guess I'm in the minority in that I enjoy the power game on the men's side.

Well I'm fairly flexible on the men/women thing - as I said earlier, the greatest match I've ever seen was definitely a power game (the Safin - Federer one). I don't watch as much Wimbledon as I used to, for example, because the first few rounds don't end up producing much more than the service games IMO. Really, I enjoy watching rallies - wherever one can get them.
