I still remember well when my father passed away almost four years ago to the day. That night (or early that morning, I should say), I wrote a little here about my dad and who he was. Thanks for the prayers/well wishes. They mean a lot to my family and I.

It really didn't completely sunk in that he is gone until I viewed the body this afternoon. I don't think I have hurt this bad in a real long time. It's like someone has hit me in the chest with a sledgehammer. I don't want to ever experience this type of pain.

I miss him very much, but I'm glad he is no longer suffering. He was really struggling with his health the past few years and I know that he was particularly miserable the past few weeks. No one should have gone through the things he did. It just makes his passing that much more difficult for me.

Again, thanks for everything. The funeral is Friday and I hope that I can have some closure soon.
