When a beholder grows old he must have to spend a fortune on spectacles.

Hmmm, let me consult the book of armaments...

Good catch! I had forgotten about them. Still, the answer is no.

Here is a pic I just snapped of the MM.

Indeed. Many moons old, it is.

In fact, is is the 4th Edition, August 1979 book. I remember buying it and having to hide it from my Super-Christian Mother.

Christmas of '79 I convinced my mom to buy me the DM's guide and Players Handbook for xmas. She had no idea what DnD was about. When she read through them, she immediately returned them.

The next summer I saved my grass cutting money and bought them myself and hid them away. Never did me any harm. Muwahhahaahahahahaahah!

The next summer I saved my grass cutting money and bought them myself and I've been a virgin ever since. Never did me any harm. Muwahhahaahahahahaahah!

Indeed. We all think hot dogs are butts, lips, and assholes, but it is really eyes, mouth, and teeth.

I actually bought all three main books not long after Neverwinter Nights came out, because I'd never played D&D before and wanted to give it a try. Alas, the few of my friends who used to play it stopped around that time, so I never got a chance to use them.
