I just now got the tools needed to run multiple Pitboss games at once on my system. If anyone else is interested in converting an existing PBEM game or starting a new Pitboss game, I'd be happy to host it.
Just lemme know or PM me.

dola -- I can also set up email notification on new turns, as well as even an RSS feed that gives updates on who has taken their turn and how long the turn clock has left in it.
FWIW, I'm doing this to try out a new CPU I got the other day that I'm setting up as a permanent server machine. I want to practice. :-)

I thought you couldn't convert existing PBEM games? Jeebs tried that on ours, and it didn't work...

I got a tool for that, too. I can convert them. I sent the info to Jeeber about a week ago.
I would be interested in doing this.

A week ago? So, 'round about the last time someone send me a PBEM turn? ;)

Yeah. I sent me turn to Jeeber quite a while ago.

I wouldn't mind getting into another PitBoss game -- but since I'm already in the first one, I'll only get in if there isn't much interest.

I echo what Vince said -- and add just because I'm hosting doesn't mean I have to play. So if someone has an existing PBEM game, I can host without playing in it. I'd rather see more Pitboss games with interested players out there, because I honestly think Pitboss is an excellent tool for casual MP Games.

If you want to convert the Raging Barbarians game, I can send the last file I've got.

Call me ignorant, but what's a Pitboss game?

Basically, one person hosts the game as the PitBoss (you download the app from the Civ4 site). All users have to be 1.62 patched. The PitBoss sets the game timer for however frequently you want a turn to occur. All users must log in and take their turn within the set time (we have ours at 24 hours - but if everyone moves fast, the turns go as fast as you want). If a user misses his turn, the computer takes it for him - automated moves, research, etc. continue normally for him.

I converted the file and tried to start the game but I couldn't ever get it to connect for whatever reason...
Yeah. I sent me turn to Jeeber quite a while ago.
And I sent my turn to Franky quite a while ago. At least I'm pretty sure that I did...
Just checked my sent box and the last file I sent out was on 6-7...
