Does anyone else think that this is one of the rudest things that she's ever done? "Look at me, I'm Oprah. Everyone stop paying attention to the couple and look at me"

A couple of plates? Unless she's giving them their downpayment for a starter house, I don't want to hear it.

What a self centered bitch.

Haha, I know I know.

I just saw this passing through the channels and I had to point out what a bitch she is. I'd be seriously pissed if I were the couple. Now 5 years down the road, most people will remember Oprah there rather than their first dance, or some other special moment. The cheesiest part about this is the gift. Some settings that don't even appear to be anything special. Throw them 100K, your worth, what a billion or so, who cares.

The best part in the article is when she's like "what are you doing here" (think Seinfeld episode)

Unfortunately, I think 99.5% of the American population wouldn't mind Oprah crashing their wedding.

Oprah sucks. I would be saying the exact opposite if she did it without cameras. But if you're breaking into my big lame wedding with a camera crew to serve your own interests - you better be bringing me more than plates.

Yeah, exactly. Either way, there really didn't seem to be a purpose to it other than just to "look at me, I'm oprah". She was on vacation, and I guess she missed people kissing her ass every day, so she needed her fix.

Yeah, it seems pretty rude. This couple didn't even sign up for it -- according to the bride, she thinks Oprah chose them because they registered at Dillard's or theknot (which I already told you sucks). Plus, she gave them eight plates, and they had already received twelve plates from the bride's parents. Bitch didn't even check the registry.

Yeah, nothing like being upstaged on your wedding day for a lousy set of plates.

Oprah has given away cars to a whole audience. If she's going to crash a wedding she could do a hell of a lot better then some plates.

I can't stand Oprah. Her talk show is lame, she's overrated, and I die a little inside every time a decent book becomes part of her book club.

Oprah sucks...She plays the race card to her advantage big time. Plus, I love how she is an "expert" on child-raising and marriage, when she has never experience either of them. I was watching the Best Week Ever show when they were picking on her TV special thing. Pretty funny.

I have no problems with people spending their hard-earned wealth and give back to the community, but she acts like she looks down on those who don't have the wealth or things she does and just seems to confuse that save-the-world attitude she's trying for.

The only two talk show hosts who seem like they give a shit about the people on there at all are Maury and Tyra.

I know nothing about Oprah, and have never watched even one show of hers, but how does she play the race card? I've never even heard rumors of that. Just because she's famous and rich with a hugely successful entertainment empire, doesn't mean that she only got there because she's a minority.

That might not be what you meant, but that's what I got from your statement.

I wouldn't be shocked if she gave them a bigger gift when the segment airs on TV(assuming they also appears.) Or maybe not.

She just seems to play it. The Hermes/Paris store is an example of one. She said she wasn't allowed in (15 minutes after the store closed) because she was black. Then she went on to bash the store on her TV show, and invited the President of the company over to say sorry to her.

Oprah Upsets Wedding Party by Crashing the Ceremony
By WENN| Thursday, June 15, 2006
Photo GalleryHOLLYWOOD - Media mogul Oprah Winfrey has come under fire for crashing an Oklahoma wedding--with a camera crew.

The TV talk-show queen stunned newlyweds Heather and Ben Klein and their guests at the June 3 ceremony in Tulsa when she made a grand entrance and toasted the speechless couple.

But the groom's mother has since blasted Winfrey for stealing the big day from her son.

A family member says, "The family's a little angry that it happened. Oprah had no right to crash a private wedding just to make her TV show."

Winfrey's wedding-crashing exploits will appear in an upcoming Oprah show.

Yes, Oprah, there are still some people in this world that expect you to follow the rules with regards to weddings along with the rest of us.

Yeah, just like the time she arrived at Hermes 15 minutes after they closed and expected service: http://www.cnn.com/2005/SHOWBIZ/TV/06/22/oprah.apology/

I lost all respect for her

Yeah, and she called that her "Crash" moment.

I wish I could say I am surprise that many people still fall for her nonsense, but I'm not. And people wonder why I have no faith in the future of our species...

Some people really need some sense smacked into them. Now I see why Howard Stern doesn't like her.

The thing that really irritated me was that the CEO of Hermes actually went on the show and deeply apologized saying the clerk didn't recognize her without make-up. He made such a fool of himself... it was embarassing to watch. I was waiting for him to ask Oprah to drop her pants so he can kiss her ass on national tv.

Oprah should be appologizing to him for making him see her without makeup.
