I had a workspace, and tried to create a shortcut. Somehow I managed to move things around, so I put them back and now my applications aren't running.

I run them as a Java App, but nothing happens. Even trying to create a new hello world type app, and running it doesnt work. When I say doesn't work, I mean I run it, and nothing is displayed to the console.

I've refreshed. I've reinstalled Eclipse. I've tried creating a brand new simple app, but nothing seems to work.

Any ideas?

Try deleting the project's .metadata directory & restarting eclipse with a "-clean" argument. (Of course, make a copy of the workspace, first)

dola-

Actually, if it's a problem with corrupted metadata, it's probably safer just creating a new workspace (just change the directory through the File menu, or from the command line with a -data argument).

Create a new project & then import the files to the new project.

OK, so i've been having problems for hours. It wouldn't run, so I shut down Eclipse, reopened and didnt have luck. Rinse, reapeat many times.

I left it sit for about 30 minutes, then just retried and its working fine. If it stops working, i'll give this a shot.
