Maybe what happens here is the airline food psychology phenomenon. Nobody really, realy likes the Chicken ala King or Meat Loaf that they choose for the in-flight meal, but the main objective is to find something that most people can at least accept. So, not too spicy, not too complex, but just shoot for the widest array of people to say "oh, that's okay."

Saw it twice in the theater. I was thinking going in this would be it. This would be the role that Jessica Alba's hotness would come through and that I'd finally "get" what so many other guys seemed to already get. Nancy Callahan is supposed to be the hottest chick in the Sin City world. Sure, she looked good wriggling around on that stage with the lasso, but that's where it stopped. She had zip, zero, nada, zilch in the way of presence. She was almost completely forgettable. Like white toast for breakfast.
