View Full Version : It's a good thing I don't stay home sick all that often...

Because if I did, I'd have more time to do silly things like this:
http://kristin.seidelmann-owners.com/stitching/Stitching06232006small.jpg

I spent the morning looking for useful sprites and using a piece of software to convert them to stitching patterns, then spent a few hours this afternoon stitching. And I have more patterns, if I get so bold... ;)

Yeah, at least when I'm stitching normally, I stitch things that have some application (right now I'm working on a panda wall-hanging scene that I'll likely frame, whereas this...I have no idea what I'll do with it).

I have to say...that's actually pretty cool.

I bet you could do this for some online leagues' logos and make a couple bucks. ;)

My wife wants to know the software you used to generate the pattern?

My kids would make me pay money for that.

Terp, have you considered doing this to stitch porn? I might buy some. You could clean up on e-bay.

Cross-stitch porn, the next BIG thing on the porn market.

News flash: To stem teh rising tide of cross stitch porn a number of major conservative groups have gotten their senators to put forth legislation to ban cross-stitch as a handy craft entirely...news at 11....

My wife suggests Yoshi. http://www.operationsports.com/fofc/images/smilies/smile.gif Yoshi is next on the list. I have the pattern for him, too. I'm doing this little section as a test, to see how the patterns come out and to see how I like working on linen, as I'm thinking of doing some Nintendo-themed stitching on pillowcases or dishtowels as part of a gift for my brother's upcoming wedding.

My wife wants to know the software you used to generate the pattern? PC Stitch (http://www.pcstitch.com/), standard version (http://www.pcstitch.com/PCSStandard/PCSStandard.aspx). The sprites I got from Game Sprite Archives (http://www.gsarchives.net/index2.php), looking under Super Mario World for the Super Nintendo.

As for the stitching pr0n, well....I suppose it COULD be done, though I'm not sure that's where my real talents lie... ;)

Very impressive, tk. My wife likes it too. However, she says she wouldn't have the patience to stitch any of the patterns I might want her to do :(

Still sick, plus it's been raining almost nonstop here in Ashburn, so, as planned, I added Yoshi. Next up is to do a 1-up mushroom, then I think I'm going to try Link and Zelda at some point. Plus I gotta figure out what I'm going to do with this, it's not like I plan on framing it..

dola

For example, what Raiders fan would not want a framed cross stiched Techmo Bo Jackson in their basement or rec-room?

Jeremy sounded extremely pleased to receive attention from you. Attending UTEP has been a dream since childhood. He said he would almost certainly accept an invitation to visit your school.
