I think I'd have to agree. Vick was pretty damned good, but Wuerffel was sensational as the Florida QB.

It's close, but Vick only played two years.

Homer option for me.

Here is my homer option from my Nebraska roots.

Eric Crouch. Sucked after college but was a great college player.

Edit to clarify..he wasn't the best #7 by the stats by any means...but he was the player I will always think of first when I hear about #7's in college. But I am looking through Big Red shaded glasses!

I'd go with Vick. He did some really memorable things in college and kind of elevated VT's entire program. Wuerffel was also very good, but all of those QBs that went through UF's program at that time seemed to be very similar, so I have trouble differentiating him from the pack.

Jordan Palmer (though he actually switched to #5 before last year)

Michael Huff, at least he won an undefeated national championship, unlike the rest of the list.

Yeah. And he had a Heisman trophy and was the obvious star of the team too.

Ooops. Missed out there, huh? :)

In all seriousness, I think people forget just how good Danny boy was in college. Close to 11,000 yards through the air. 114 touchdowns. 4 consecutive SEC championships. 2 national title game. 1 national championship. 2 Davey O'Briens. A Heisman. Even an academic all-american for two years.

Guy was freakin insane. He had talent around him, but so did most of the other guys on the list. (Elway would have an arguement there) No matter, he had an amazing career. I think his four year body of work makes it an automatic. That's just me, I could be wrong. :)
