WoSoMan Question: MLS Playoffs

I'm about to fire up a new career in WoSoMan with an MLS team, but I seem to remember the playoff structure being wacky way back when, so before I do, I thought I'd get a handle on it. Can anyone enlighten me as to the specifics? Is it first to 4 pts in the first couple of rounds, then 1 game MLS Championship? Or was it best of 3 all the way through? Or just the first couple of rounds? Yada yada.

IRL the first 2 rounds are home and away, 2 games where the team with the highest pts adavnces ( 3pts a win, 1 tie). and the MLS cup is a 1 game winner take all

i personally think the home and away thing is a bad idea, they should have best of 3, first to win 2, no damn ties

Is that what it was back then? Thanks. But What if the first two games resulted in ties? Was there a third game, or did they do PKs? Or, what if they each won a game - did it go to goal differential, or PK's, yada?

MLS has had so many playoff structures over the years, it's ridiculous. I don't like the current, home-and-home, aggregate system, either.

i think if the points are tied after the 2nd game regulation it goes to away goals (another imported abomination). if thats the same then they have an overtime. still tied then a shootout. i think thats how it goes
