I, personally, am not gonna do a damn thing.:p V-day acts in reverse out here. I'll just hope that I'll outdo my record for Chocolate recieved. Last year I got 16 non-giri choco*. I'm hoping for thirty this year.

* giri = obligation ; choco = chocolate

i.e. chocolate from girls that must give you chocolate ( co-workers, family members... )

I'll take my wife out for a nice dinner somewhere. But not on the actual day. We have to work that evening. The only day that we get off is Mondays, so we will celebrate a few days late.

I'm cleaning the family room and moving the furniture around like she's been wanting for 6 months.

She's going to New Orleans on a business trip and will be gone until the 16th, so I'll have it done by the time she gets home. I usually send her flowers and chocolate, but she asked me not to do that this year (she asked for a leather steering wheel cover for her car - don't ask me why). I'll get her the leather cover too.

Going to work all day on V-Day (damn food service industry sucks that way). On Saturday, though, my girlfriend and I are going to the Dallas Museum of Science, the Imax, and planitarium (hey, it was her idea) then go off to PF Chang's for dinner. After that, who knows. But the evening should end with some wild monkey love, that's for sure.

Well it's either find a date and waste some money on a pointless date or go to the local, which is having a wet t-shirt contest. I'm leaning to just going to the bar and eye-humping everyone else's date to save some money :)

my wife and I are scaling back this year.

we've agreed not to do flowers; we'll exchange gifts, but nothing too extravagent.

originally we weren't going to go out to dinner either, but we decided to head up to one of our favorite restaurants that we used to go to when we first started dating - a nice pizza place up in West Lebanon.
