Does anyone actually care about their balance sheet in the multi player game? Does it really matter?

Your bottom line will dictate the limits your owner places on contracts you can offer for staff and players down the road. If your balance sheet is a big mess, you might end up being outbid by financially healthier teams.

So I guess certain franchises have advantages over others - before you even consider FA and location.

I always try and keep a healthy bottom line, but it's a secondary concern. There isn't much you can do about it, besides not spending money on players, and if you don't do that you don't win and don't make money anyway. But having a big profit will help you out a lot when your all-world coach or coordinator's contract runs out.

Take whatever team is listed as Washington, and you'll be fine.
