this is why the people of Africa are all animals, and should be locked in cages just like animals:
breast ironing (http://www.cnn.com/2006/WORLD/africa/07/07/cameroon.breastironing.reut/index.html)
i can't believe humans inherited the earth. somewhere in another galaxy the aliens are slapping their heads in disbelief saying "this is our main competition??"

This post is so offensive to me it's not even funny.
I don't care if you think it's part of your "schtick" to be like this, I just think that comments like the first sentence above have no place in this world, let alone in this forum.

Yeah. It is pretty bad. Saying all the people of Africa are animals is really bad. And ignoring the legacy of slavery and colonialism to say they should all be locked in cages makes it even worse.
And I'm one who has been really upset with the breast ironing trend for a while.
edit: and I don't think HA should be punished in anyway for this post. I just think it shows really bad judgment on his part. But it isn't trolling or anything like that - just a very low moment for him.

no racism involved. animals are barbaric and uncivilized. this is akin to mothers eating their young. you expect these acts of brutality from animals, not humans.
if you can't refer to someone as an animal and not have it be about the color of their skin then you're more racist than i. :)

ftr, i didn't say "the black people of africa are animals". i don't state i know what color the people are who are doing this. odds are they're black, but i didn't specify race in my rant. whoever does these things - genital mutilation also - is an animal.

The mods have discussed what to do with this thread a bit so here is what's going on:
Originally the thread was deleted to stop the "this won't end well" that was inevitable. It was the quickest, down and dirty way to deal with it. We discussed opening it back up at the time and locking it, but merely did not. Due to the various misinformation spreading around about this thread I am undeleting it, bumping it, and locking it.
I know that talk of this thread is inevitable in other threads. I would ask that the subject area and type of discussion that this thread was going down not be discussed, or we may have to lock more threads. To be specific, what I mean is that we do not want discussions on whether everyone in Africa is an animal or not.

copied from another thread:
So why was he boxed?
If this was a post on a message board back in the 40's and he said this about the Nazi's would you have banned him then too?
I should have clarified.
HA was not boxed because of "racist" remarks. In fact, you'll notice that no one in there did anyone say something about racism other than HA.
HA was boxed for create an offensive, trolling thread that had no purpose or realistic result other than to cause trouble. He made a sweeping, offensive generalization about an entire continent of people. Within 5 minutes it was already headed very quickly down that path, if there are any doubters on the inevitable result of the thread.
