Question: I have recently gotten wireless high speed internet through my phone provider. I have my desktop and laptop connected to the wireless network. Both have no problem connecting to the internet and are working fine. I know there is a way to now "connect" my two computers for file sharing. My desktop has 160 gb on the hard drive and is much better suited for storing info. I'd like to transfer files off of my laptop onto it. How would I go about setting that up, is there more equipment I need??

Nope.

Question... is either computer a "work" computer that is a member of a corporate domain?

If not, just throw them into the same workgroup, and use the file sharing wizard in XP.

Neither is a workgroup computer, can you point me in the right direction with XP? The phone company wants $99 per device to do it.

To run the Network Setup Wizard, click Start -> Control Panel -> Network And Internet Connections -> Setup Or Change Your Home Or Small Office Network. Follow the instructions in each screen and press Next to continue.
