Ok,

Right now it sucks as I am on the road by myself. However, something awesome just happened.

Being the only person in our company that is a sports nut, I received a phone call from the boss, he had to tell me what we just finalized.

Looks like we will be working the Monday Night Football Games this year....And everyone pointed to me as the one to lead the tour.

What does this mean. Well, depending on exactly when we start, I will be at every Monday Night Football game for 9 weeks straight. I don't know how much of the game I will be able to watch, but just to be there, and to be able to meet the people I am going to meet, will be awesome....

Sorry, had to brag, I am on cloud nine because of this, and my wife doesn't understand, she just looks at it as, I will be gone nine additional weeks this year.

Congrats, by the way.

This is great and all, but NBC and the NFL would like us to believe that Monday Night Football is now a piece of shit that dangles from the holy temple that is Sunday Night Football.

So congrats on going to #2, I guess... so to speak.

:D

What do you do?

Technical Training and Technical Marketing...

We have several 60+ foot long big rigs that have presentation pods where customers/users can receive hands on training or play hands on with products.

All of our staff are trained and certified within the products we talk about by the companies themselves.

I can't divulge who we are doing this yet, but I will once it's made official to the public.

I think I've said this before, but have the greatest job ever. I'd give away a body part to have a job like that (and not just the MNF thing).

I missed this thread the first time around but congrats MacroGuru! I second what Oliegirl said, take LOTS of pictures and post them here or hell, post them on my dynasty (http://www.operationsports.com/fofc/showthread.php?t=50843) if ya want. Taking one on one pictures with athletes would be cool, but the action of the game itself would be even cooler! Well, for me anyway ;)

BTW, if you get your DSLR by then, I highly recommend 1 GB (or more) flashcard so you have enough space in there to shoot to your hearts content.

I'm so envious.

Do they need any truck drivers? Seriously, I have been wanting a new job, and driving for something like that would just kick ass. I see stuff like that on the road, or trucks for tours and the like, and those would be great driving jobs.

And congrats.

Well the MNF thing didn't happen this year, however I know talks are still in for next, but the cool thing is, being in Miami this year during the Superbowl with an exclusive feed to our truck from DirectTV for the superbowl, so I get to watch it in HD, with a gigantic Plasma or LCD, sharing it with a ton of people in a parking lot.....

Could be nice, if I am there. :)
