Any of you going to attempt any satellites or direct buy in for the 7/16 $350+$20 150 guaranteed WSOP seats?
There are a shit load of satellites for this tournament. Worth a shot...

Yep, I'm planning on trying to enter. However, due to the number of satellites, I'm expecting over 10,000 entries in that Sunday tournament. It'll be like a freeroll for the first hour.

Yep, as long as the tourney is not private, you can watch the tables in play.

Yes - under Tourney tab - satellite - and choose a running tourney. You can filter the tournaments but clicking Sate column. On the bottom of the screen you'll need to click off show registration/upcoming only so it will show all tournaments. Make sense??

yeah - I really hope I can get a seat for it 'cause I don't want to fork over $370 to play it. I just feel this may be your best shot to win a seat.

Next year, I'll probably take a few stabs at this through some of the satellites.

I spent $9 in the $3 rebuy satellite to win a seat in the $33 rebuy cash qualifier. That's roughly 1 in 250 chance for seat. 1 in 30 is the rough ratio for the $350 qualifier.

Is it pokerstars where you need to have at least the tourney buy-in in your account to watch?
(i.e. you don't pay anything but you need to have a big enough bankroll that you could play, if you want to watch.)

I've watched before with $0 in my account. You can't talk to players if you weren't in the tourney but I still think you can watch..

Has anyone done the WSOP round 2 freerolls with 1,000 FPPs? I have 1,200 FPP logged up so I was thinking this may be worth a shot. You have to win it, but it's free and what else am I going to use the points on? I'm not sure, but I'm guessing the fields are probably 500+ but they're running 3 of them this week.

For sure try it... I've played in one this year and one of last year. Both got busted pretty early with some (of course) horrid bad beats. It's very very loose play in the beginning so just be patient. Winning a seat to the WSOP for free using FPP points would be simply amazing!!

Thanks for the luck - much will be needed. It's pretty much a 1 and 30 chance of getting a seat. It starts @ 4:30 on Sunday (EST)...
20 min blinds so I can play my game w/out feeling rushed...

Well I tried the 1,000 FPP satellite last night and I just never got anything going. I picked up aces twice and got no action. Picked up queens, no action. The one time I had AK I missed the flop, and was forced to move all in with J 10 vs. 88. Flop comes Q 9 6 and I pick up 6 more outs so I've got 12 outs, board pairs the 6 on the turn taking away 2 of my outs and of course I don't hit on the river and bust out 99th. I would recommed this to anyone who has FPPs built up. Blinds were 20 minutes I think so there was no rush, just play tight early. There was only 318 entrants, which was a lot less than I expected there to be and getting through 318 people is difficult but certainly not impossible.
Good luck on Sunday CBF, you'll have to keep us posted during the tourney.

318 people is a very reasonable amount to play through. It's very tempting at odds like that.
