Gingrich says we are in the early stages. I'm excited. When do tickets go on sale? And what's the early line?
Is the terror threat up to Ernie or Elmo yet?

Good! TV has been getting boring lately. Now I'll have something to watch.

I think we're looking at Gulf War 2.5, not World War 3.0. But that's just my take.

Taking over Russia as the United States was always fun. At that point you had carte blanche to roll your tanks over the rest of the globe. Even China couldn't stop you.

We had to re-brand the franchise after the decline of the Roman Empire.

I was actually talking to a political-type last night who was almost demanding that the White House start using the phrase WWIII. I may have offended him by laughing in his face.
Even if this IS WWIII (which I don't think it is), can you imagine the panic that would ensue if the President started using that phrase? For someone like me (grew up in the 80's), that phrase has a lot of baggage. You can't help but picture nuclear war. We need a kinder, gentler phrase. Something like "The War To End All Wars, For Serious This Time".

Gulf War 2.5. I'm telling you, it just sings.

I'm assuming what we're seeing now is the beta version?

Newt is one of those guys who misses the limelight so much, he'll do or say most anything just to get some attention. Hence his lavish praise for Hillary Clinton.
I expect him to go on tour with Courtney Love next year.
Unless there are coups in Egypt and Saudi Arabia, I do not see the Middle East going up in flames just yet.

Even if there are coups in Egypt and Saudi Arabia, I do not see the Middle East going up in flames. That will only really happen when the world no longer needs their oil - as long as they have that, things will remain more or less stable.

It's like Maximum Football... it's been under development over there for a few years.

Not sure whether it's from the same interview/comments or not, but I saw both Newt & John McCain discussing this on FNC in the past day or two (I'm pretty sure it was Sunday night).
I kinda furrowed my brow at their word choice then (McCain basically agreed with Gingrich's phrasing) same as I do now.
Are there scenarios where it could become a full-fledged WW? Sure.
But it sure seems a helluva long way from qualifying right now IMO.

Depends who holds the rights.
It looks like Extreme something-or-other, but the image is kind of fuzzy.
With the 'recent' announcements of Sega titles available for download through Wii Virtual Console and Xbox Live Arcade, it's certainly conceivable - and the game would be significantly smaller than some 360 game demos on Live.
But as I say, it depends who holds the rights to the game, and whether they choose to license those rights to Nintendo and Microsoft.

If it is World War 3,
I'm glad I'm in the Air Force before I got drafted into the Army
