I wish I stayed up to watch it as it happened... saw highlights this morning.
The Bombers were down by 3 with a few seconds left and close to their own endzone. The QB (Kevin Glenn) tossed a ball for their star WR (Milt Stegall), who split two defensive backs and took the ball all the way for a TD.
I think this is the first time I've seen a game end on a 100-yard TD reception. One of the craziest, unbelievable things I've seen in sports.

I just read that the Ottawa franchise isn't competing this year (yes, CFL news doesn't get to me very quickly). Anyone know the whereabouts of John Jenkins?

We have the Bombers in Baltimore, but there are no Eskimoes in the CFL...

Maybe you never saw that before because your other TV's didn't display at a proper frame rate for CFL football :D

I also missed the game, didn't realise it was televised. Everyone at work has been talking about it all morning, I feel like a dorkchop.

I heard about it, didn't actually see a replay of it yet.
While I was first impressed by a 100 yard TD, the more I thought about it, it's not THAT great.
With the exchange rate, that's like what, 87 or 88 yard TD in the NFL?

Awesome. It would be cool to have the Bombers in the Grey Cup this year. :)

Well, given the dimensions of the CFL field, it does make sense.

I am actually surprised I was the first to use it in this thread!
I talk to people at CIBC in Toronto daily, and used the same joke with them, and they didn't find it any funnier.

Not to be a hater but I wouldn't get your hopes up. Kevin Glenn is not the answer.

Well, how's this for a final two minutes.
Think it was with 1:55 left that Winnipeg hits a field goal to go up by 5. Edmonton gets the ball back, Ray looks for Hervey deep, but is hit as he throws, the ball coming up a bit short and is picked off.
Winnipeg on 3rd and a yard on their own 30 go for it, QB plunge works too well, a pair of Eskimos continue pushing Glenn forward while also holding him up until they finally strip the ball off of him. Recovered by Edmonton and taken to the 20.
Pass for 9 yards followed by a plunge for 1 or 2 sets up the go ahead TD with something like 30 seconds left.
Final play of the game is a blitz that created man coverage. The guy covering Stegall bites on a move or chases a butterfly, our best DB (Malcolm Frank) misses the open field tackle, and due to the defensive playcall, there is no safety help behind them, so he trots the last 70 yards without an Eskimo in sight.
Our coordinator should be fired, and if nothing else, the guy who originally had Stegall in coverage should have just mauled him and taken the pass interference if he realized there was no safety help. Take the penalty, give them one more offensive play from their own 30.
Pure stupidity on the Eskimo's part and good on Winnipeg for exploiting it. I sincerely hope it wakes Edmonton up or their playoff streak is going to be in some very serious jeopardy.
