Ever have one of those moments where you make a great read and call and it just doesn't end how it is supposed to end.

Hand:

Tourney is at level 4 (50/100) and nearing the first break.
I am dealt QTs on the button (2660t).
Action is folded to the CO (7510t) and he calls BB.
I just call here not wanting to commit too many chips and the SB has 11k in chips. He also calls BB and we have 4 players go to the flop.

Flop comes Q2J rainbow.
SB checks, BB bets out 300 and CO goes all-in.
Dude bets over 7k into a 700 pot. He limped in the CO seat so I doubt he has AA, KK, QQ, JJ, AQ, or even KQ. He might have AJ but I have that beat. I call and the other two players fold.
He turns over Q9. Hell yea! What a call and I pat myself on the back.
Turn is a T. Sweet two pair for me, but river is a J and we split the pot.

I am pretty sure it is against the law to complain about split pots. :D

I like the dudes at last years WSOP with a sign that read "Tell us your bad bat story - $5". The kicker being, you had to pay them $5 to listen to your nonsense.

Spilt pot - you owe me $2.50

It's gotta be Riverstars. No bad river cards on any other card site that I've been to.

If there is a percentage that something happens it means at some time.. it could happen. That's why I don't get too pissed if I lose on a 1 outer... nothing I did wrong so... ah well... it happens. :)

There is no way you should have called that bet.

It was just an accumultion of bad beats in short time period. Lost in that toruney to a 3 outer and lost in our weekly home game the night before on a two outer. Just wanted to bitch for a little bit.:D

I understand the frustration, but think of it like this. If you take more beats than you give, that means you're a good poker player. The winning % for hands shown down averages out in the end. So if you're taking more bad beats, that means you're in more situations where you made the right move and had an edge on your opponent. That's all you can do in poker.
