I'm not sure if any type of situation has played out in the history of baseball (it probably has, i'm not a huge baseball guy, just a big Twins fan).....but please allow me to imagine for a moment.

Let's say that Hillenbrand ends up with another AL team before the deadline. Then, let's say that the BlueJays and the team that acquired Hillenbrand tie for the AL wildcard spot at the end of the regular season. So then, there is a 1 game playoff for the wildcard. It's a tie game in this fantasy wildcard game, 9th inning, 2 outs, bases empty, and Hillenbrand is up to bat. Let's assume, for the sake of speculation, that B.J. Ryan is on the mound for the Jays. What do you think is the outcome of that at bat?

a. Walk
b. Hillenbrand strikes out
c. Hillenbrand gets hit by a pitch
d. Hillenbrand gets a hit
e. Hillenbrand hits a HR

Or, as a manager, do you even let Hillenbrand hit in that situation? I know there are way too many variables. As a hypothetical scenario, though, would this make an ESPN Classic moment do you think?

I think they pitch to him normally. No need to hit him. Maybe throw at him... but in the end, if the Jays win, that'll stick it to him more than a hit-by-pitch ever could. Well, unless they hit him in the head. But that's wrong.

Its a playoff game, and BJ Ryan is pitching. BJ strikes him out for sure. Hillenbrand cant touch him.
