Just got the demo, am interested to see how this works. I enjoy FO type gaming, so it sounds like just the thing! Just curious - is this multiplayer only, or can you play solo with the PC simming everyone else?
Also, has anyone done clever things like edit player names in the database to get real players from the NFL into the game.

You can play solo, although MP is the way to go :)

And yes, there are many different real NFL rosters out there, not too difficult to do.

Enjoy the game!

There are tons of real player files to use as well as almost every draft file from 1970 on up. There is a very good AI single player version which most people play regularly as well as the multiplayer league option.

WElcome to the forum and good luck in your games!

many thanks. i also just spotted a thread with loads of info in it, which I'll read
Is it possible for example to load a real NFL file, but then have a massive draft or randomisation to start with, I'd quite like to play the game from scratch but with all the real NFl talent available now in a huge draft pool

Pretty sad, it actually took me a while to figure out what game he was referring to.

ldsdbomber, definitely worth buying the full version. Not sure which threads you've seen but be sure to check out the FAQ stickied at the top of the forum.

And if you decide to do Multi-Player, notice that there is a whole area of the forum dedicated to finding a league.

Yes, you can load any roster set, including a real NFL file, and start the game with a 53-round draft from scratch. You can also, with one click, choose to start with an entirely random and fictional roster yet, and do the 53-round initial draft.

Didn't know "front office gaming" was a recognized genre. I stand corrected.

I could be wrong. It could be a coded message saying F#@k off gamers.

LOL
thanks chaps, yes FO gaming as in front office style management - I can't be bothered with Madden type games, I can never get the hang of them apart from the odd play which I can then always score from. Doesn't translate well to gaming IMO.

I don't mind "playcall" type games if you know any good ones, but I really like roster management, trading, drafting and stuff and then let the PC decide how good your team is on the field!

FOF will allow you to call the plays in your games if you choose to.

Since you said "chaps," I'll bring up the Football Manager series (soccer). I'm sure someone here can tell you more, but I'm under the impression that it's a very solid and fun game.
