Verizon FiOS

Anyone using Verizon FiOS (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FiOS) instead of satelite or cable? They just made it available in my neighborhood and it looks promising. Any impressions?

If anyone knows of any good discussion boards on the subject I would appreciate being steered in that direction as well...

This is a very undetailed report, but...

My future In-Laws have it in Springfield and have no complaints with it whatsoever. However, they've never had any other high-speed internet (besides in their offices) and are only using it for the most basic functions (web and e-mail)...

Sorry - I should have clarified - I meant for television. How does HD reception compare, etc...
