I took the essay I wrote some time ago on why Floral and Fruity aren't enough for designations and distilled it to what each scent smells like and what its evocations are, since corporate has now expanded the categories finally

Anyway, I've got most of the fine fragrances down, but I'm having trouble nailing down Dream Angels Divine and the two Very Sexy For Her fragrances.

I've included what I have so far below to give you an idea of what I'm talking about.

The Scents of Victoria’s Secret And Their Evocations (Fine Fragrances)

So In Love
Scent: Roses
Evocations: Glorious, golden autumnal nights, heady recaller of first loves and the optimism that is youth’s greatest gift.

Body By Victoria
Scent: Freshly washed laundry
Evocations: Comforting, warm spring afternoons and a relaxed refreshment

Basic Instinct
Scent: Potent spice
Evocations: Raw, passionate sexuality and erotica, the exotic baths and far-away bordellos of pleasure where excitement awaits, laced with just enough of the potent drug we call danger to keep us hooked.

Rapture
Scent: Strong and musky
Evocations: The sleazy cathouse and downtown strip club, woman’s animalistic quality, all limitations of civilization thrown away and a return to the innate primal nature

Dream Angels Heavenly
Scent: Cream Soda
Evocations: Clouds, heaven, the seafoam out of which Aphrodite was born

Dream Angels Divine
Scent:
Evocations:

Dream Angels Halo
Scent: Strong soap
Evocations: Earthiness, wise grandmothers who gave us comfort and advice when we were young

Very Sexy For Her
Scent:
Evocations:

Very Sexy For Her II
Scent:
Evocations:

Breathless
Scent: Light and mild
Evocations: Calm, soothing, spring breezes

Why am I laughing so much? I don't know why, but I am having a hard time seeing someone write a whole post about fragrances with a straight face (forgive the pun). I have never seen any guy break down fragrance and tell us what feelings they are supposed to evoke. This stuff must be magical because I never seen this:

Dream Angels Heavenly
Scent: Cream Soda
Evocations: Clouds, heaven, the seafoam out of which Aphrodite was born
I mean, I never thought that something that smelled like cream soda could be associated with Aphrodite. I couldn't help but laugh at these crazy descriptions. This is BLANKING unreal. Find a new job in the manufacturing of perfumes. You may be on to some hidden talent. :D

Assuming his postings got mixed up, I wonder what he posted to the Victoria's Secrets Fragrance board by mistake.

I looked at her and just started laughing, "Nope you're not looking for a quick relationship. You're looking for someone who can inspire you... take your breath away and expand your creative horizons again... You want to breathe and know there's still beauty in the world that can dazzle you... and for someone to show you that."
"Yes! Yes that's exactly what I mean!"
So then I grinned, leapt on my feet, walked over on the blanket to her and took her hands.. pulled her up... "What you're looking for is someone to lift you off your feet and show you how to fly again... to live again..."
Looking back on it now, there was a sparkle in her eyes and I probably should have at least kissed her hands... I think I saw that moment in her face... then, just as I was about to, I paused and waited too long... so she laughed, said I was a dork and we ran off to pick blackberries again together.

Actually this was one of those late night/early morning ideas where I thought, "Hey, why don't I see if I can get some peoples' opinions on the gaps that I'm missing?"

Then I woke up just now and realized that this wasn't exactly one of my brighter ideas. Oh well. At least it provides people some entertainment.

So what exactly is "girly girlness?"

I think you can get different answers for this depending on who you ask, but to me, girly girlness is best symbolized the colour pink and carries with it a conotation of youthfulness, vivacity, enchanting fun, and other elements often associated with feminity.

Although you're joking, on a serious note, it all depends on how it smells on the individual wearer. We all have different body chemistries that affect how a particular scent will smell on us and in some cases, the change is quite radical.

This is the one misconception and stereotype about Greeks that I take genuine offense to.

Greek life does not involve "paying for friends".
