This may be the first induction ceremony that I will actually watch from start to finish. Each inductee has some interesting sub-plots.

I try to watch it every year.
To me, it is always a pretty special thing, being a football history fanatic...
Last year was amazing to me as my all-time favourite player (Steve Young) was inducted with the class of 2005.

I actually attended the induction ceremony this year to see my all-time favorite player, Troy Aikman inducted. I'm really, really glad I got to go and would encourage others to check it out in the future. Canton does a very, very nice job and it was truly an electric atomosphere.
Highlights for me:
Meeting Daryl 'Moose' Johnston outside the stadium. What a genuinely nice guy.
The speech by Troy Aikman was head and shoulders above the rest of the group. He really showed that he is a team player and all-around class individual and deserving of HOF enshrinement.
After hearing some of the other speeches, I had to wonder, is racism still that big a problem in 2006, especially in the NFL?
Also - got a chance to see Butch Davis walking around during the game.
I am already planning to go when Emmitt Smith gets inducted in four years.

I think Reggie White said it best.
"White people were blessed with the gift of structure and organization."

I'm looking forward to Terrell Owens and Donovan McNabb entering the HOF the same year.
