View Full Version : Things I Know For Sure: Foz's Version

Figured I'd follow up on AE and SkyDog's version.

1) I am not a morning person. (Due to my strange work schedule, I normally work Noon-8 PM, but due to my early morning flight mid-week, and working 7-3 Monday and Tueday, I'm switching my sleeping patterns around)

2) There is an official time known as "too fucking early".. That time is 7:00 AM on a Sunday morning.

3) David Ortiz proves there is such thing as Clutch.

4) There is a line between (insert sports team name) fan and fanatic, and if you don't watch where that line is, you won't know where that line is until you're way over it.

5) The smell of coffee percolating in the kitchen isn't the so-called best part of waking up.. it's a reason to dive deeper under the covers.

6) There is no such thing as too much soccer on TV.

7) There is no such thing as too much rugby on TV.

8) Not withstanding 6 and 7, having soccer and rugby on the TV while you sleep will lead to weird dreams.

9) Despite lapsing into my old habits as a caffine junkie (most notably, soda junkie), there are simple pleasures in life, like a glass of milk with three ice cubes in it.

10) That if I had my way, I'd get up at the crack of noon or later each day.

21) That I'm glad they haven't JBMagic'd my edit button :)

11) FM2006 isn't just a soccer sim game, it is an insidious plot by the UK to bring down the rest of the world's productivity. America's disdain for the Beautiful Game is the only thing keeping our productivity from plummeting. However, the virus is slowly seeping in.

12) Jobs would be wonderful places, if it wasn't for customers and fellow workers.

13) Just because I don't want to put a #13 in doesn't mean I am superstitious. It just means.. aw.. hell.. it does mean I'm superstitious

14) I know I'm way behind on creating my GenCon adventure.

15) I know I'll probably wing it once I get there anyway.

16)There is funny, and there is bizarre, and there is calling out "Albatross!" randomly at co-workers, and them GETTING THE REFERENCE.

17) My typing sucks at 7:30 in the morning.

18) Mistyping the Cambridge United URL 6 times is funny.

Oh, BTW...

I KEEL YOU NOW! :D

Somebody has a case of the mondays after a weekend where they tried to adjust their sleeping patterns by 5 hours (normally up at 10:45, had to get up today and tommorrow at 5:45).. and failed miserably, falling asleep three times in the last 24 hours for 2-3 hours max, and the last one was MAYBE an hour and a half, tops.

I feel like someone's hit my brainpan with a sledgehammer.

Sorry about that. I just always wondered what it would look like.

just wait till you have kids (I went out on a limb and assumed that since you get to sleep to noon on occasion you don't)

I spent my younger years working late shifts and I spent all of my 20's going to bed in the 2-3am time period and sleeping till noon as often as possible.

now, I am lucky if i get to sleep till 8am ONCE a week, and that is only because my wife is being nice.

WORST part of all is I was out of town for a conference, had all the opportunity in the world to stay up late and sleep in, but ended up asleep by 9pm and wide awake around 630am.

Ugh.

Basically in my case, I've worked at EMC for about 3 years now, and I've been the guy who is always changing shifts for what they need. I STARTED with 2 am-noon, and have been all over the clock ever since.

Currently 12-8, which is nice... today and tommorrow early so I can be ready for my flight wed morning and then the insanity on Thursday

I'm heading out tomorrow (Tuesday) night, myself. The lads figured we'd get an early start on the week. It will give me time to figure out what exactly I'm running on Wednesday. Oops. . .

Foz you're depressing me. Isn't there anything happy and fun you know for sure?

Ask him this question come Thursday. Though, odds are, you wont understand a good 30-45% of it. Well, then again, you do post here, so mayhap your "geekish" comprehension is higher than usual.

*laughs* I know that the best thing one can do with one's minor misfortunes is to laugh at them and know it could be worse :)

Yes, I do speek geek. I hope you guys have a rockin' time. Though juding by the make up of the crowds from last year's convention, I don't think we'll have to start a bail Foz and HB out of jail fund. :p

I know for sure Foz got maudlin when the Red Sox finally won it all.

Surely that's not depressing, especially for a certain tree! :)
