I am an IT guy - but I have never had to do much with web other then the basics.
I am in the process of moving a client from an old web host (Yahoo/SBC/ATT/whatever the hell they are these days) to 1&1.
I have already put in the transfer with 1&1 and it is going to take 7-10 days
any of you guys have some recommendations about the easiest/smoothest way to move the (front page extension) website from the old host to the new one?

If it is Front Page, I assume that there is a copy on the webmaster's machine, as well as the website. If that is the case, it will simply be a matter of publishing to the new location from inside of FrontPage. Otherwise, it would involve copying down the content from the current location, then publishing it to the new location.

yeah, no true "webmaster" just a hodge podge of stuff that has been put up over the years. No one has any idea what is all on there - and they have no interest in simply scraping the whole thing and starting fresh even though they admit that 90% of it no one uses. But there CEO is the pointy haired boss from Dilbert and he wants it EXACTLY the same way on the new web host and doesn't want anything changed.
bleh - all in all this is a project I wish I could avoid, but they are a very big client for me and so I have to do it.
I did "copy" it all down from the SBC site and tired using front page to upload it to the new site, but I am getting errors left and right.
