Anyone here have a Toshiba Satellite laptop that you bought, only to discover the overheating flaw? Think you can't afford to have it repaired because the warranty ran out?
Well, I found out today that Toshiba extended to warranty on ALL these laptops so it won't cost you a dime to get it repaired. Most parts are in stock now since the bug is a couple years old.
Just letting people know that they can get their Toshiba Satellite laptop repaired for free. :)

Interesting. My girlfriend just got the Satellite A45 from a family friend who didn't need it anymore, and has definitely noticed the overheating. Can you point me somewhere for more info or details? Thanks.

Link about which models are currently being repaired for free:

(I didn't see the A-45 model in there, but it's worth a call to a local Toshiba servicer to find out. Use the scroll bar on this link to find out info on your particular model. http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/su/su_sc_modSel.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@1075665079.1155216146@@@@&BV_EngineID=ccccaddiiedfgddcgfkceghdgngdgnn.0)
Where is my nearest Toshiba servicer?

Hope this helps people. I have an A-75 model and I'm getting a new motherboard, new casing, and new fans for free and it will be back in 5 business days :)
I have an old Toshiba (2001) and never noticed any overheating. Is this just a problem with the new models?

Don't see anything in there that deals with overheating (wrong link?), unless its just a problem that relates to "may lock up or reboot when touched." I'll give Toshiba a call though, thanks.
