I have a dvi cable connecting to my monitor to my video card.
Is that better quality than hooking up the VGA cable from monitor to graphic card?

You are repeating yourself. You've already asked this question in at least one other thread (although I can't seem to find which one at the moment.)

I never ask this question.
I ask before
So are you going to use your new monitor for your pc too? Is there some kind of device to switch connections from Pc to xbox 360? Or you going to have to connect and disconnect manually each time?
I have a 19" flat Samsung monitor. Like this one. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824001063
Will I be able to connect an xbox 360 too it?
and Todd answer.
Yes, it does both VERY well. On my monitor there are two connections, VGA and DVI. The pc is connected via DVI and the 360 is connected via VGA cable. All I have to do is hit a button on the side of the monitor to switch between the two.
As far as your monitor goes, looks to me like it would be ok - it supports 1280x1024 and has an 8ms response time.
But just curious how DVI is better than VGA for pc to monitor.

Yes, DVI is better. But the cable can be costly.

I've never noticed any difference, though there is suppose to be one.

I don't think there is much difference as far as your eyes are concerned, but lets ask google:
Does the Xbox 360 support DVI or HDMI?
At the moment, Microsoft does not plan to offer a DVI or HDMI pack, but it may be available in the future. Todd Holmdahl, Corporate Vice President of the Xbox Product Group at Microsoft, elaborated, “We’re poised to hit the sweet spot of the HD market at launch and as the market matures, we will provide an HDMI for our customers when it makes sense. The reality is, you don’t need HDMI for HD gaming.” To read the complete interview, click here (http://interviews.teamxbox.com/xbox/1190/Xbox-360-Interview-Todd-Holmdahl/p1/).
Is there any way to play Xbox 360 games through a large HD screen (Apple) which only has a DVI connector? I heard Microsoft may release a DVI cable. Will this be ready for launch?
Since there is no Xbox 360 cable with DVI or HDMI output, you’ll need a VGA to DVI adapter if you want to connect via a DVI input.
