A thread gets deleted after an easily discovered "duh" was exposed. Considering it was a thread blathering about the oh-so-horrible fact checking done by sportswriters or something to that effect, there's a tad of irony (or something similar) in that I believe.

Seems to me that little miss high & mighty made herself look a lot worse by trying to hide it instead of just saying "aw shit, I goofed ... nevermind". If she had, I promise you this thread wouldn't exist.. Hell, the whole thing could have probably have been played off pretty well as an Emily Litella moment for a chuckle & been forgotten almost immediately afterwards.

I think, unless there is some sort of over-riding community benefit to un-deleting a thread (while I shudder to use this as an example, e.g., if Bubba decided to delete that "Maximum Football" thread), if a thread's starter chooses to delete a thread, that decision should be respected. And it has.

here's how it is - tk is not someone who can "play along". i made some real light hearted jabs at her once (it was in a beer thread) and she got very internet pissy with me. a real "lighten up, Francis" moment. from that point on i restrict my interaction with her. she wants access to the boys room, where all the guys are pissing in the trowel, and when its time for her to pee everyone has to leave the room. she's that kind of person. i will say no more about her cuz i don't need to risk putting myself in the box for her. i'd rather talk about QS for that.

when jb called that guy a newbie it caused me to look at jb's post count... am I the only one astounded to see he has over 4500 posts?? I mean, I know he posts a lot, but that just shocked me.

As an exercise, I'd like everyone in class to come up with 4500 different questions. You may ask multiple questions along the same lines, but they must be somewhat different in their actual request. I'm guessing jb has done the impossible.
